Starting from October 25, 2024, Rome welcomes imagination with the arrival of “Art of Play”, the largest immersive exhibition dedicated to gaming and the iconic Hello Kitty character. The event will be held in the Pratibus District, and promises to capture the attention of adults and children thanks to an unrivaled sensorial experience. Behind this ambitious exhibition are Elena and Giulia Sella, already known for their success in Paris with “House of Dreamers”. This time, the two sisters have chosen the Italian capital as the stage for an experience that aims to rediscover the wonder of the game.
A journey through sixteen interactive installations
The heart of “Art of Play” is represented by sixteen interactive installations that invite visitors to immerse themselves in extraordinary worlds. The path was designed to awaken anyone’s inner child, in order to recall the importance and joy of play. Highlights include a life-size dollhouse, built to bring childhood dreams to life, and spectacular giant brick structures. There is also no shortage of installations dedicated to the nostalgic atmosphere of the Arcade, which will take the public back in time with a touch of modernity, and other creations that play with the charm of colored pastels.

One of the central figures of the event will be Teddy, the bear mascot of the exhibition, who has already made headlines in recent days with appearances on the streets of Rome. Teddy will not just appear, but will also be the protagonist of a special effects show that will certainly entertain visitors. But the real star will undoubtedly be Hello Kitty, the beloved creation of Sanrio, which celebrates the 50th anniversary of the brand on this occasion. The area dedicated to Hello Kitty will provide guests with a series of interactive installations that trace the history of the famous character and invite visitors to explore her passions in engaging scenarios, each with a touch of kawaii magic.
At the end of the exhibition itinerary, there will be a sweet surprise for all Hello Kitty fans: the Hello Kitty Cafe, a themed bar characterized by pastel colors and decorations inspired by the universe of the famous kitten, which will offer a variety of products personalized, making the experience even more memorable.

An invitation to rediscover the game
“Art of Play” aims to be an invitation to relive the joy of playing as a collective experience. Elena and Giulia Sella, the creative minds behind this project, tell how the idea was born from their desire to share the importance of play in their lives. “As children, we played to create worlds, and today play is the language that binds us to our children,” explain the sisters. The exhibition therefore represents an opportunity to rediscover that universal language that is play, through a surprising journey that will fascinate everyone, from the smallest to the largest.
