A new study has discovered that eating more butter is linked to greater mortality
How many times do we use (still) butter to give more flavor to our dishes? Many consider it an irreplaceable ingredient, but science has something to complain about.

The study
The study examined the eating habits of 221,054 people through a questionnaire completed every four yearscollecting information on the quantities of butter and plant oils consumed. The total consumption of butter included several sources, including butter mixed with margarine, spreadable butter used on bread and other foods, as well as the one used for cooking and domestic fry. The intake of vegetable oils, on the other hand, has been estimated on the basis of their use for frying, browning, baking in the oven and seasoning salads.
Scholars also monitored the deceased participants and analyzed the causes of death. Through a statistical analysis, they compared mortality rates in relation to the different levels of consumption of butter and vegetable oils. The results highlighted that those who assumed more butter had a higher risk of death of the 15% compared to those who consumed Menor, while those who consumed greater quantities of vegetable oils showed a risk of lower death of the 16% compared to those who made it a more limited use.
