Christmas Eve under the stars! All ready with many desires for the theta-Geminid peak

With eyes that still remember the passage of Geminidsthe most beautiful shooting stars in winter, let’s now look at them theta-Geminida lesser known but no less fascinating swarm: the Christmas nightbetween December 24th and 25th, let’s raise our eyes to the sky and keep many ready desires.

As the UAI explains, the theta-Geminid shows slow, sometimes bright meteors and this year their radiant, or the point from which shooting stars appear to start, will be visible all nightculminating nearly 80 degrees above the horizon around midnight.

And it will be precisely Christmas Eve, between 24 and 25 December, that of greatest activity, this year particularly favorable for observation, given the absence of lunar disturbance (in the map the sky of December 25, 2024 at 0.30 about).

Merry Christmas to all!
