Thirty-seven editions, over thirty years of history, and every year the same place. Since 1990 the May Day Concert has been held in Rome, in Piazza San Giovanni in Laterano, organized by CGIL, CISL and UIL on the occasion of Labor Day. May 1, 2026 is no exception, with one of the richest lineups in recent years.
The theme of the 2026 edition
The 2026 edition, promoted by CGIL, CISL and UIL and organized by iCompany, is dedicated to the theme “Decent work: bargaining, new protections and new rights for an Italy that is changing in the era of artificial intelligence“. As regards the guide title, chosen by the artistic direction of Massimo Bonelli, we bet on the future with “Tomorrow is still ours“.

Who leads
Pierpaolo Spollon and Arisa were chosen to host the Concertone, supported by BigMama, who returns to cover a role already experimented in previous editions.

The 2026 lineup is among the broadest and most transversal in the Concertone’s recent history. Confirmed artists (in alphabetical order):

Added to these are the three winners of the 1MNext contest for emerging projects: Bambina, Cainero and Cristiana Verardo.
Among the most anticipated returns is that of Litfiba in the historic formation of the Eighties – an event in the Concertone which alone is worth the evening – and that of Riccardo Cocciante, in addition to the return of Madame after a period of absence from the stage. The Pinguini Tattici Nucleari also return to the Concertone seven years after their presence in 2019, strengthened by a live dimension now suitable for large stadiums.
Times and how to follow them
The party in Piazza San Giovanni Laterano will begin at 1.30pm with over ten hours of live music. The Concertone will be broadcast live from 3.00 pm on Rai 3, simultaneously streaming on RaiPlay and on the frequencies of Rai Radio 2, the official radio station of the concertone, which will also follow the event behind the scenes with interviews and extra content. For audiences abroad it will be possible to follow the broadcast on Rai Italia. Furthermore, Rai Radio 2 will also broadcast in visual radio on channel 202. Entrance to the square is free, subject to capacity.
