What should have been a quiet night at the end of September turned into a truly surreal case when the volunteer fire brigade headquarters in Tubre, in Val Venosta, received a bizarre report to say the least: a cow in the swimming pool. During the night, a cattle had lost its way away from its usual pastures and had begun to wander aimlessly in the surrounding area, until it overcame the fences and furtively entered the green area of a local hotel specialized in wellness programs.
The situation quickly escalated when the animal climbed onto the sturdy cover of an outdoor swimming pool. Under the weight of the cattle, the structure collapsed, causing the cow to fall directly into the tank full of water. Blocked and unable to climb back out independently due to the slippery walls, the protagonist of this misadventure remained trapped for hours until dawn, inaugurating a completely involuntary spa stay.

The intervention of the rescuers and the happy ending for the unharmed bovine
At the first light of day, the arrival of the volunteer firefighters started a complex and delicate recovery operation to extract the animal from the tank without causing panic, escape or serious accidental injuries. Thanks to the professionalism and promptness of the rescuers, the maneuvers to harness and lift her were completed successfully, allowing the cow to be brought back to dry land safe and sound.
Despite the spectacular splash and the hours spent soaking, subsequent veterinary and visual checks unequivocally confirmed that the bovine did not suffer the slightest injury. With a good dose of irony, the Fire Brigade themselves commented on the episode by underlining that, after its brief and unusual stay of well-being inside the spa facility, the animal returned to graze unharmed and completely relaxed after the unexpected adventure.
