Creative recycling knitted irons: from pins to earrings, these do -it -yourself ideas are easy and beautiful

Jersey irons, when they are no longer used for their original purpose, can turn into perfect materials for creative recycling. From pins to decorative flowers, here are some ideas on how to reuse them in an original way.

Pins for shawls or sweaters

To create pins for shawls or sweaters starting from a knitted iron, follow these steps:

Bracelets

To create a bracelet starting from a shirt, it starts cutting the iron to the desired length, taking into account that it must adapt comfortably to the wrist. Use pliers to bend the iron giving it a ring shape. At this point, cover the ends of the iron with decorative clamps or terminal caps.

Earrings

Not only pins and bracelets, with old jersey irons you can also make nice earrings. Just flatten them with the help of a hammer, then cut them into several pieces of the desired size. Next, practice a small hole to insert the hook and the game is done: you can wear unique and original earrings! Discover the full tutorial on the Instagram page of She Do Redo.

Flowers

Another nice idea to recycle the knitted irons is to transform them into beautiful flowers: just cut out the corollas from old newspapers or pages of covered and books, glue them on the iron and add a central bead that will act as a pistil, applying it with hot glue.

Scacciapensieri

Recover about ten or more shirt irons, then take a circular metal ring, wood or plastic large enough to host the irons. With string, or a cord, binds every iron to the ring, making them hang freely so that they can move to the wind.

Once the irons are fixed, take another 4 pieces of string or tape and legal around the ring, adding them on top with a knot. Leave another piece of string longer to be able to hang the Scacciapensieri with a branch or on the terrace.
