A channel that loses high definition, two changes in the local muxes and the usual, endless carousel of numbers that move a few positions: a new update arrives for digital terrestrial. The source, as almost always in these cases, is the Digital-Forum forum, a point of reference for those who monitor the composition of national and local muxes. The main news is reported in the dedicated thread: for a few days Maria Vision, the Catholic broadcaster positioned on LCN 255 of Mux D-Free, has returned to broadcasting in standard definition after a period in high definition. A step backwards, one might say, even if for a channel with this type of schedule the difference between SD and HD has relatively little impact on the viewers’ experience.
Local channels
The changes do not stop at the national plan. On the local front, as reported, the channel is active in Mux Locale 4 in Abruzzo TV tourism changed its name to Turismo TV Lazio, while San Marino RTV HD has also expanded its coverage in Emilia-Romagna. Minor changes, if we want, but which for those who live in those areas can translate into a channel that appears – or disappears – from the list after the classic retuning.
The updated numbering of national channels

Also noteworthy is position 75-77, reserved on a regional basis in Valle d’Aosta for France 24 HD, RTS Un HD and TV5 Monde Europe.
Above the number 100, however, there are the repeats of the main channels (101-109), the long block of local and regional broadcasters which occupies the 120-170 range, the section of Rai services and promotions between 200 and 260, the local “foreign” channels (241 France 24, 242 Sicilia 242), the group of radio stations displayed on TV between 530 and 570, the entire Rai and commercial radio area in 701-789, and finally the regional channels of Rai 3 TGR distributed between 801 and 823, one for each region. The list ends with some service channels and technical tests of LA7, in addition to the 500-561 numbering, which partly replicates the “historical” one of the low range for those who receive muxes with an older decoder.
Why it pays to retune
As has already happened with the updates of the past months, if you notice the disappearance of a channel, or a change of position, you should first of all launch an automatic retune from the television or decoder menubefore thinking of an antenna failure. It is the same recommendation that circulates every time the mux managers adjust the composition of the packages, an operation that in Italy now occurs almost monthly.
