The Tiramisu World Cup 2025 returns to Treviso from 10 to 12 October with its ninth edition. This is not a simple pastry competition, but of a real international festival dedicated to the most famous Italian dessert in the world. And if you are a passionate gourmet, but in the stove you don’t get it very well on September 13, through a click-day click for only 24 hours, you can apply to be part of the popular jury and taste the 240 tiramisu in the race.

The rules to become judges

There are only 100 places available, but the experience is unique: the selected will enter the official register of judges and will have the task of evaluating the competitors’s recipes. This is not just a delicious taste, because the judges must respect precise criteria and answer a questionnaire of 15 questions during online registration. Only those who demonstrate that they know the competition regulations will be able to wear the coveted badger badge.

Candidates will be testing with questions on original recipes and possible variations: from the use of rum instead of coffee, to the addition of chocolate or honey drops instead of sugar. A selection that guarantees transparency and quality, avoiding that the popular jury be made up of simple curious. Those who really know the history of tiramisu will therefore have more chances to access official tastings.

Being chosen as a judge does not only mean being able to taste dozens of tiramisu versions, but also becoming part of a collective experience that combines tradition and creativity. The popular jury is considered fundamental by the organizers, because it represents the home roots of this dessert. In the end, it doesn’t only count a winner, but celebrate universal love for tiramisu.

A global event

The Tiramisu World Cup will also be an opportunity to celebrate the city of Treviso and the Venetian tradition. The competition attracts competing every year from all over the world: for 2025, challenging from Argentina, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Malaysia, Holland, Poland, Scotland, Hungary and Taiwan are expected, as well as many Italians. The city will thus turn into the world capital of dessert, with tastings, collateral events and an atmosphere that combines culture, tourism and food and wine.
