Donald Trump’s son resumed in the Venice lagoon while hunting (and kills) a protected species

A video recently published on social networks and on specialized platforms has turned on the controversy in Italy and beyond Ocean. The movie, which appeared on the US website Field Ethos – The Global Hunt for Adventureshow Donald Trump Jr.son of the current President of the United States, engaged in one Hunting joke in the Venetian countryside.

In particular, the images seem to have been shot in the Piestori Valley, in Campagna Lupia, an area of the Venice Lagoon subjected to environmental protection. In the filming you can see hunters with the calls for the ducks around the neck, while they converge in a guest house before the joke.

Then the images show the ducks in flight, the rifles that rise, the shots and finally the birds that they fall killed by the blows. In the video Trump Jr. appears several times as he takes aim and shoots, and in a specific moment he is framed what seems to be one Casarca (Tadorna Ferruginea), one rare species in Europe and protected by EU legislation.

Political reactions

The publication of the video aroused immediate reactions in the Italian political landscape. Andrea Zanoni, regional councilor of Europa Verde, raised the case with a question in the regional councildenouncing that hunting in that area is prohibited to non -residents and that the demolition of protected species represents a crime. Zanoni also announced a possible exposed to the judiciary.

The Italian Parliament was also invested by the question: the deputy Luana Zanella (AVS) asked An intervention by the Minister of the EnvironmentGilberto Pichetto Fratin, asking for clarifications on what happened to understand if Trump Jr. really participated in this illegal hunting joke.

Monica Sambo, municipal councilor of the Democratic Party in Venice, was expressed on the same line, who made it known that if the accusations are confirmed, Trump Jr. will have to be pursued like any other citizen for violating Italian laws.

According to Italian law (L. 157/1992), in fact, hunting is prohibited for non -residents, and the demolition of protected species is a criminally punishable crime. The Venice Laguna, moreover, is part of the Natura 2000 networka system of areas protected at European level for the conservation of biodiversity. In short, for the Trump family it is the umpteenth fall in style of a presidency just started but which is already proving to be a real nightmare for the environment and for human rights.
