The Ministry of Health has published a recall for Tre Mulini trofie, fresh durum wheat semolina pasta sold in Eurospin supermarkets, because there may be metal fragments in the packages.
The recalled product
Tre Mulini is the brand under which Eurospin sells pasta and other cereal-based products, so these trofie can only be found in the chain’s stores. PAC – Prodotti Agroalimentari Carbone produces them for Eurospin Italia SpA, in its plant in Melfi, in the province of Potenza.

The recall affects two batches. The first is 260901, with a minimum shelf life of 30 November 2026. The second is 260902, with a shelf life of 1 December 2026. Both are sold in the one kilo convenience pack, i.e. two packs of 500 grams.
The reason for the recall
According to the notice, metallic foreign bodies may be present in the paste. It is therefore a physical risk and has nothing to do with bacteria, allergens or chemical contaminants, but the possibility of ingesting a small piece of metal together with the seasoning. The packages have already been removed from the shelves. The notice is dated 25 September, but it only appeared on the ministry’s portal dedicated to recalls on 5 October.
What to do if you bought them
Check the batch number printed on the package and if it corresponds to one of the two indicated, the pasta should not be consumed and should be returned to the Eurospin sales point where you bought it, where you can obtain a refund.
