Everyone seems to like panettone, and even the large international chains don’t miss the opportunity to produce one exclusively. This is the case of Starbucks than for Christmas 2024 launches Panettone Tofee Twist. Let’s find out how it is made and who produces it.
This year, Starbucks was not satisfied with offering just any traditional panettone, but chose to focus on something new, designed and created by a great pastry chef.
The Tofee Twist is in fact the result of an exclusive collaboration with Italo Vezzoli, one of the most prestigious Italian leaveners, a well-known name in the world of artisanal pastry making, especially in Lombardy, where his restaurant is recognized for its excellence in the preparation of traditional Italian desserts, such as panettone.
But what are the main characteristics of Panettone Tofee Twist? First of all, the dough is naturally leavened to guarantee a soft and delicate consistency, without the use of preservatives. But the real surprise is in the filling: a mix of caramel chocolate and dark chocolate and in the milk chocolate covering embellished with sandblasted and caramelized peanuts, which add crunchiness to the dessert.
The idea behind the leavened product was to create a product that integrated the classic panettone that we all know with the brand’s Christmas drinkssuch as the Toffee Nut Latte and the Caramel Waffle Latte.
