Fear in Paris due to a robbery at the Louvre Museum, what do we know

The newspaper Le Monde reports that, according to a source close to the case at the AFP agency, several criminals stole jewels from the exhibition halls before fleeing and that the events occurred, according to initial investigations, between 9.30 and 9.40 am today 19 October.

The extent of the loot is currently being assessed, but the criminals, whose number has not yet been made known, would have arrived on board a scooter and would have used a goods lift to access the affected room, equipped with small chainsaws, according to a police source.

Second Le Parisienthe criminals allegedly stole nine pieces in particular from the jewel collection of Napoleon and the Empress.
