Why the recall was ordered

According to what was communicated by Ferrero, during the checks the risk emerged that some products may contain small metal fragments. Although this is a precautionary recall, the possible presence of foreign bodies represents a potential risk to the health of consumers, which is why the withdrawal procedure from the market was started immediately.

The company has also informed the health authorities of the affected countries and is working with distributors and outlets to ensure that the affected products are removed from shelves as quickly as possible.

What to do if you have purchased these products

Anyone who owns a package belonging to the indicated lots is invited not to consume it. Ferrero recommends returning the product to the point of sale, where it will be possible to obtain a refund or replacement according to the methods provided by the retailer.

Finally, the company underlines that the recall concerns exclusively the listed lots and that all other Nutella products can be consumed normally.

As always, it is good practice to check the batch number and minimum shelf life shown on the package every time a food recall is issued: a simple check can avoid unnecessary risks and help protect food safety.
