The 2026 edition involved 13 award categories, each of which selects a Top 10 finalist structures from which an overall winner per category is chosen. There is therefore no single ranking of the “best campsites in Italy”, but a system of awards that enhances different types of experiences: from family holidays to glamping, from sports tourism to environmental sustainability.
The results highlight a strong concentration of excellence in Northern Italy, with Trentino-Alto Adige confirming itself as the absolute leading region thanks to the highest number of mentions and awards (30 overall). Veneto follows with 15 mentions, while Tuscany takes third place on the podium with 13.
Immediately behind are Emilia-Romagna and Piedmont, both with 11 mentions, confirming a very solid presence in the Italian open air panorama. Sardinia records 10 awards, while Abruzzo stands at 7.
More distant, but still significantly present, Liguria and Marche have 6 mentions each. Friuli-Venezia Giulia and Sicily close the ranking, both with 5 awards.
