A new era begins for climatic justice

The International Court of Justice of the Hague has issued an unprecedented advisory opinion: states are obliged to reduce emissions and guarantee everyone a clean environment, which represents a fundamental human right. These obligations extend to companies operating under their jurisdiction, regardless of where the impacts of their emissions occur. The “verdict” kicks off a new era for global climatic justice.

From now on, the countries that will not act to contain emissions or who will continue to invest in fossil fuels can be held responsible in front of the international community.

Green light from the Senate to the DDL on femicide

Femicide enters the criminal code as an autonomous crime after the approval of the bill by the Senate. The new rule provides for life imprisonment for those who cause the death of a woman with acts of hatred, discrimination, control or possession or in response to her refusal to establish or continue a relationship. The crime is recognized even if we try to limit the victim’s individual freedom as a woman.

In the text DDL, which will now move on to the Chamber, there are also news including multiple protections for women victims of violence, educational and training campaigns in schools to educate respect and consent and a greater distance for those who wear the electronic bracelet.

Found after 8 years cagnolina dispersed during a hurricane

In 2017, during the terrible hurricane Harvey that hit Texas and Louisiana hard, the dog Blue, who was only two years old at the time, had been lost in that chaos. But, after 8 years, something unimaginable happened. A citizen found a dog who wandered in a public bath of Cameron Park, 480 kilometers from where he disappeared. After taking it to an animal refuge, thanks to the microchip it was discovered that it was Blue’s right. And, as it is easy to imagine, the moment of reunification with the family was creepy.
