A new food alert has been issued by the Ministry of Health regarding a very common product on our tables: il Grana Padano DOP, grated version in a bag. The brand affected by the recall is Consilia, sold in some supermarket chains of the Selex group.

More specifically, the recall concerns 100 gram packs of grated Grana Padano DOP, which show the following batch number and minimum shelf life:

The EAN code of the product is 8000965012676.

The recalled cheese was produced by Latteria Sociale Mantova Società Agricola Cooperativa on behalf of Selex Gruppo Commerciale SpA, in the factory in Strada Rodone 13, Marmirolo, in the province of Mantua, with the identification mark IT 03 365 CE.

The reason for the recall is possible presence of metal fragments inside the package. The presence of such contaminants can cause serious health damage, such as internal injuries or digestive problems.

What to do if you purchased the product
