Created in the 80s by Katsuhiro ōtomothis masterpiece of science fiction has returned to the spotlight thanks to the recent cinematographic transposition released on Netflix in 2022. By exploiting this renewed interest, the industrial designer Ivan Zhurba has developed theIchibanan electric motorcycle that blends advanced engineering with a minimalist aesthetic, Rétro, but at the same time futuristic, inspired by the legendary medium of the protagonist of the manga.
Ichiban is not an exact replica of Kaneda’s bike, but recalls its shapes and futuristic atmosphere. The design follows the Japanese principle of “Kanso”which means “simplicity” and “purity”, an integral part of philosophy Wabi-Sabi. The result is a means of essential designwith clean lines and a reduced dimensions.
The external structure is characterized by Two elegant gray panelswhich cover the engines with a transparent and refined aesthetic solution. Ichiban is in fact equipped with two electric enginessolution that contributes to its power and stability. Particular iconic is the Front lighthouse with a pill shapea stylistic call that strengthens its futuristic identity.
A perfect mix between aesthetics Rétro and modern technology
The bike combines vintage charm elements with cutting -edge stylistic and technical choices. There saddle and the front part are in redwhile the Nere wheels without rays They give it an aggressive and aerodynamic aspect. This design not only emphasizes the cyberpunk look, but also improves aerodynamic performance.
On board, Ichiban offers a Digital dashboard with a Rétro designinspired by the graphics of 80s video games. The main information, such as speed, autonomy and distance traveled, are displayed in green neonguaranteeing excellent readability also in the sunlight. The rear is instead characterized by Started Linear Lights Bandswhich accentuate its futuristic style.
“Godzilla” performance and methods
Ichiban is not only aesthetic: its mechanics is equally impressive. THE Two electric motors develop a total power of 45 kWallowing the motorcycle to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds.
A distinctive detail is the mode “Godzilla”which allows you to maintain a speed of 100 km/h for 10 secondssuddenly increasing a couple and power for a more adrenaline driving experience. The declared autonomy is of 250 km with a complete rechargewhile the system of quick charging allows you to reach the 70% charge in just 30 minutes.
To ensure secure driving in all atmospheric condition, the bike is equipped with ABS braking. Currently, Ichiban is still a conceptbut Ivan Zhurba and his team are already working on the creation of a working prototype.
If this motorcycle ever comes into production, it could become one of the most desired two electric wheels by lovers of cyberpunk and minimalist design.
