I’ll explain how to recycle an old lampshade: you can make it into food covers, tables and much more

Whether it’s an old ruined lamp or an anonymous lamp that you just don’t like, with creative recycling it will take a moment to restore its lost splendor. From tables to food covers, from vase holders to decorations, the reuses of old lampshades are countless, each more interesting than the last.

Food cover

Remove the fabric from the old lampshade and cover the structure with a semi-transparent mesh fabric. Attach a knob to the top of the lampshade and glue a trimming to the bottom.

Garden decoration

Once the fabric has been removed, the structure of the old lampshade is perfect to use in the garden, especially if you love the vintage style. Place it above flowers or plants to give them visibility, but also to protect them.

Table

Another nice idea is to turn the lampshade upside down by fixing a wooden circle on the lower part, so as to transform it into a table. Do not place too heavy objects on it because the structure is delicate.

Christmas decoration

What if the structure of the old lampshade was used to create Christmas decorations? Cover it with moss and hang it from the ceiling above the dining table or in a strategic corner.

Support for climbing plants

If the lampshade is small, you could use the structure as a support for climbing plants, placing it above the vase. It takes a moment!

Pot holder

If you turn the lampshade upside down (after removing the fabric), it is transformed into a vase holder with essential lines.

Shabby chic decoration

If you like the shabby chic style, nothing better than using the structure of an old lampshade as decoration. Free space for creativity!
