With the 2026 Budget Law, the government aims to modify the regulation of the Inclusion Allowance (Adi) for the approximately 750 thousand beneficiary families. The main objective is to make the provision of the service continuous, eliminating the so-called “pause month” which until now separated the end of a provision cycle from the next renewal. This structural change would allow families to receive approximately 670 euros more per year without interruptions.
Who can benefit from ADI
The inclusion allowance is intended for families with an ISEE not exceeding 10,140 euros and with at least one member over 60, a minor, with a disability or in a disadvantaged condition. Introduced in January 2025, the ADI initially provides 669 euros per month for eighteen months. In the past, at the end of the initial period, families had to wait a month without any support before applying for renewal, creating a significant financial gap.
The one-time bonus for July 2025
This summer, when over 400 thousand families saw their benefits expire, the government temporarily made up for the lack of support with a one-off bonus of 500 euros. The new intervention, however, will solve the problem in a structural way, completely eliminating the interruption period and guaranteeing continuity in the provision of the inclusion allowance.
How the renewal of the allowance works
The renewal of the ADI takes place at the expiry of 12 months upon submission of the application. The novelty consists in the fact that the renewal can be requested immediately, without waiting for the old pause month. To access the renewal, family members must meet social service operators, verify and update the inclusion paths already identified, and sign the individual digital activation agreement. Anyone who does not complete this step loses the right to the benefit.
