The directorial signature and the literary genesis

Behind the camera will be director Nicola Prosatore, who also oversaw the development of the narrative structure. The writing of the screenplay saw the collaboration of the director himself together with Edoardo Puma and Carlo Salsa. The dramaturgical source material boasts a strong imprint of authenticity and intimacy, being freely inspired and taken from the pages of the biographical volume Pino Daniele. Everything that gave me emotion comes to lighta deeply felt work written directly by the musician’s son, Alessandro Daniele, and published by Rai Libri. The film was born from the joint production effort of Tartare Film, Camfilm and Rai Cinema, with subsequent distribution in theaters entrusted to the renowned label 01 Distribution.

From the alleys of poverty to historical triumph

The biographical narrative will develop along a time axis full of events and strong emotional contrasts. Spectators will witness the artist’s complex beginnings, starting from a childhood lived in the most popular and disadvantaged neighborhoods of Naples, a period marked by strong economic difficulties and a not always simple relationship with family dynamics.

The film will explore chronic insecurities, fragilities and that constant inner urgency that pushed him to seek redemption through notes. This intimate journey of training and revenge will unfold until success is achieved, culminating in the reconstruction of the historic and oceanic concert of 1981, the memorable event in which two hundred thousand people gathered in the square to be overwhelmed by Pino Daniele’s music.
