We always look towards that part of the sky: the night between 7 and 8 January they will be at the peak the rho-Geminidsthis year particularly favorable for observation because they are far from lunar disturbance. Let’s prepare many wishes!
As the UAI explains, this year the meteors result well observable especially in the second part of the night, when the Moon will not bring disturbance and the greatest number of shooting stars is expected.
The radiant of the shower, i.e. the point from which the meteors appear to start, will still be visible throughout the night, culminating around midnight at almost 80° above the horizon (in the map the sky of January 8, 2025 at approximately 0.30 am).
Ready wishes?
