It seemed almost impossible but it happened: Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori overwhelm the double Heliovaara/Patten and they lift their first Master 1000 trophy, that of Miami. And they do it following a clear success: two sets to zero with an unequivocal score of 6:4; 6:2. Immense!
For the Italian couple it is the first Masters 1000 trophy in their career (the ninth in total together, after six ATP 500 and two ATP 250, which earned them third place in the ATP men’s doubles ranking, gaining seven positions in one fell swoop.

The start of the “blue weekend” is ours, but two other finals await us: tomorrow 29 March Sara Errani and Jasmime Paolini will compete for the title with the couple formed by Kateřina Siniaková And Taylor Townsendand Jannik Sinner will be chasing yet another ATP title against Jiri Lehecka.
