Pastry World Cup 2025: from Japan to Italy, here are the most beautiful and exquisite desserts of this edition

The pastry World Cup is a prestigious international competition born in 1989 by the will of the Mof Gabriel Paillasson. The 2025 edition, which had the national heritage as its theme, saw triumph Japan With Masanaori Hata, Yuji Matoba and Ryu Miyazaki, followed by France and Malaysia.

The Japanese in the race conquered the jury with 14,026 points thanks to desserts inspired by the Japanese tradition, made with the utmost attention to detail. The Japanese are not new to victory, in 2023 they had already conquered the podium, it is therefore their second time a few years later.

There France It came second, led by Haruka Atsuji, Jérémy Massing and Mickiel Guyade, while Malaysia has earned bronze.

And Italy? It did not arrive among the very first but still conquered a respectable position, winning sixth place after China and Belgium. The confectionery works, created by Vincenzo Daloiso, Raimondo Esposito and Alessandro Fiorucci, were inspired by Leonardo da Vinci.

The honorary president of the competition, Amaury Guichon, declared himself particularly satisfied with the results obtained, saying that – each team has been able to transform his own heritage into edible works of art. The success of this edition recalls that, in an increasingly digital world, craftsmanship remains priceless. –

Morocco, led by Mohamed El Yazidi, Omar Eddib and Sidi Mohamed Lamraoui, made the dessert “Souss Symphony” to pay homage to the Sauss region in Morocco, a dessert called “Marrakech Essence”, tribute to the city of Marrakech, and finally The “Sahara Roll”, tribute to the vibrant culinary inheritance of the country.
