On Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 March 2025 the FAI Spring Days return, the most important cultural event of our country dedicated to the discovery and enhancement of the Italian artistic and landscape heritage.
The 33rd edition of this event coincides with a significant goal: the fifty -year -old of the birth of FAI (Italian Environment Fund). To celebrate this important anniversary, 750 special places in 400 Italian cities will be open to the public, many of which normally inaccessible or little known.

The treasures of Rome and Lazio
Palazzo Farnese
The headquarters of the Embassy of France, this magnificent example of Renaissance architecture will exceptionally open the doors on Saturday 22 March for FAI members. Visitors will be able to admire the splendid frescoes by Annibale Carracci and the grandiose architecture of the palace.
Gregorian Villa in Tivoli
One of the most fascinating romantic parks in Italy will be visited throughout the weekend. Falls, caves and paths immersed in nature create a unique place where art and landscape merge into a magical experience.
Rocca Farnese in Ischia di Castro
Located in the heart of Tuscia, this thirteenth century fortress, transformed into the palace at the behest of Alessandro Farnese, dominates the historic center of Ischia di Castro. Visitors will be able to explore the courtyard, the main floor, the lodge and the garden.
Carabinieri Forestry School in Cittaducale
Founded in 1903, this institution forms personal in the forest, environmental and agri -food sectors. The guided tours will include the former convent and the church of San Francesco, the historian Arboreto and a naturalistic collection with taxi -winter specimens.

The wonders of Lombardy
Milan and its historic buildings

The medieval aqueduct of Gubbio (Umbria)
A suggestive walk along the gorge of the Bottaccione up to the walls of the Umbrian city.
Gardens of Villa Buonaccorsi in Potenza Picena (Marche)
Landscape masterpiece made in the sixteenth century and expanded in the eighteenth century by Pietro Bernasconi, close collaborator of Vanvitelli. The Italian garden, a rare example perfectly preserved, is divided into five digrading terraces, with fountains, niches, mythological statues and a theater with automotive. The route continues in the English garden, characterized by a dense forest. Since 2021, the villa has been acquired by the state’s cultural state property and is currently the subject of a large restoration and refunctionalization project.
Valle Morosina in Rosolina, Rovigo (Veneto)

Please note that some sites may request early reservation or be reserved for FAI members. For the complete list of open places and for any updates, it is advisable to consult the official FAI website.
Anyone who enroll in advance on the Fai on www.iscrivitialfai.it, are already registered or subscribe to Fai on site, will have a priority access. Furthermore, FAI members can benefit from the exclusive entrance to the places reserved for them and advantages for participation in special visits.
In the places where the online booking is recommended, it is still possible to present yourself freely during opening hours and access until the available seats are exhausted. As for the participation fee, FAI suggests a contribution starting from 3 eurosfor which it will support the mission of protection and enhancement of the Italian cultural heritage.
