Temu and Shein weren’t enough: now Amazon Haul has also arrived in Italy (and we really didn’t feel the need)

In recent years, Temu and Shein have won over millions of customers with their products at rock-bottom prices and increasingly faster deliveries. But since October 1, 2025, Amazon has entered the “race to the bottom” by launching Amazon Haul, its low-cost platform in beta version, in Italy. A new player that joins a market already saturated with fast fashion and disposable products, which we honestly didn’t really need.

What is Amazon Haul

Amazon Haul allows you to purchase thousands of products at very advantageous prices: most under €10, some starting from just €1. The main categories include:

For example, among the available products there are:

Available on both the Amazon shopping app and desktop, it promises a dedicated and fast shopping experience, with orders arriving in two weeks or less.

In addition to incredibly low prices, to win over consumers, Amazon Haul also offers additional savings: 5% on orders over €30 and 10% over €50, while delivery is free for orders equal to or greater than €15. All products are marked with the “shocking prices” badge when they start from €1.

There is also no shortage of typical Amazon guarantees: reviews and ratings with stars, safety checks on products, and free returns within 15 days, with complete management by the collection point. In short, security and reliability are there at least in theory, but basically these are the same functions already available on the main platform, only enclosed in a separate app with a new name.

Amazon Haul in beta: a test (for now)

At the moment, Amazon Haul is in the beta phase, which means that it is a sort of trial version, a test to collect feedback and refine the shopping experience before the final launch. To try it, just update the Amazon shopping app and search for “Haul” in the search bar or select it from the main menu.

It remains to be seen whether Italians will really adopt it or whether it will end up being just one more way to navigate between products already accessible on Amazon, while Temu and Shein continue to dominate the low cost online market.

At a time when the need to change course and buy less but better is evident, the big giants continue to push towards compulsive low-cost consumption and disposable products of dubious quality. We’re not quite there!
