A new strike has been called for the transport sector, but this time it will only affect Rome. In fact, a company strike is scheduled for Tuesday 9 December on the Atac network. Buses, metro and trams at risk for 24 hours.
The main reasons for which the Atac workers will join the strike proclaimed by the Sul union are: individual shift changes of the drivers, meal inconvenience, reward discrimination in the various company production sectors and in parameter adjustments, enhancement of internal professionalism, discipline, safety levels in the garages and at the pedestrian exit of the Portonaccio garage, the application of the Supreme Court ruling from a regulatory and economic point of view relating to the IV area to all the workers involved, the reorganization of the ticketing sector etc.
Vehicles at risk and guarantee ranges
On Tuesday 9 December, disruptions are expected on the Atac network of buses, trolleybuses, trams, subways and the Termini-Centocelle rail-tramway from 8.30am to 5pm and then from 8pm until the end of the daytime service. The insured guarantee periods, however, range from the beginning of the daytime service until 8.29am and from 5pm to 7.59pm.
As regards the night service, on the night between 8 and 9 December there will be possible stops on the “N” bus lines, while the service of the daytime lines that have scheduled runs after midnight will be ensured. The opposite will happen on the night between 9 and 10 December: the “N” lines are regular, possible stops for daytime lines that have scheduled runs after midnight.
The buses that will not be affected by the strike
The service will remain regular on the seventeen bus connections that Atac sub-contracts. These are lines 021, 043, 075, 33, 77, 113, 246, 246P, 313, 319, 351, 435, 500, 515, 551, 669 and 980. The same goes for the on-call buses in the Massimina-Villa Troili-Maglianella di Sopra districts.
Regular service also on the 91 bus connections managed in the city by the private operators Atr, Bis, Troiani and Tuscia. These are lines 011, 013, 017, 018, 022, 024, 025, 027, 028, 030, 031, 032, 033, 035, 036, 036L, 037, 039, 040, 041, 042, 048, 049, 051, 053, 054, 055, 056, 057, 059, 066, 078, 08, 081, 088, 135, 146, 213, 218, 226, 235, 314, 339, 340, 343, 349, 404, 437, 441, 444, 445, 447, 502, 503, 505, 533, 541, 543, 546, 548, 552, 555, 657, 660, 663, 665, 701, 702, 710, 711, 721, 764, 771, 777, 778, 787, 789, 808, 889, 892, 907, 908, 912, 982, 985, 992, 993, 998, 999, C1 and C19.
However, the Trenitalia and Cotral connections will not be affected by the strike.
