The Sims leaves the screen and becomes a board game with cards and dice for the whole family

After more than 25 years of digital successes, the Sims leave the screen to become a real official board game. The collaboration between Electronic Arts and Goliath Games has in fact created a version that transports daily chaos, small joys and life choices typical of the simulator in a format made of cards and dice. An experience designed for the whole family, capable of condensing the universe of the video game in shorter and more accessible games.

The title, called The Sims Board Game, was launched in the United States on August 15, 2025 at the price of 19.99 dollars and is available at large chains such as target and online on Amazon. The arrival in other countries is expected in the coming months, confirming the intention of opening the world of Sims to an even wider audience, not only digital but also analog.

How the game works

Each player impersonates a SIM with a specific aspiration. To win, he must collect the right Symbols useful to complete his life objectives. The modular scoreboard is composed of cards that represent iconic neighborhoods and places, in which participants can move, fish action cards and manage the daily needs of their character. Some special cards even allow you to invite home historical characters from the saga, such as Bella Goth or the bizarre Bonehilda, obtaining extra advantages.

The dynamics of the game is based on two fundamental elements: balance the needs of the SIM and achieve its life objectives. Although not offering the same creative freedom of the original video game, this version focuses on the conviviality and the strength of iconic quotes, making it a perfect pastime for fans and an excellent entry point for the new curious.

The link with the community

It is not the first time that the Sims bordering in real life. A few months ago a bright circle inspired by the Plumbob was launched, the famous green icon above the heads of the characters.
