Who is Banksy?

Banksy is one of the most enigmatic and influential artists of our time, his identity remains unknown, but his unmistakable style has made him a symbolic figure of contemporary street art. Probably born in Bristol in the 1970s, Banksy has conquered the international scene with provocative works that challenge consumerism, denounce political hypocrisy and question authority. His graffiti, often created using the stencil technique, has traveled around the world, appearing on walls, bridges and streets in cities such as London, New York and Bethlehem.

Among his most famous works are Girl with a Balloonsymbolizing hope and resilience, and Rage, the Flower Throweran invitation to peace and non-violent resistance. Banksy does not limit himself to creating visual art, but uses every opportunity to send profound messages, as he demonstrated with the famous auction in which one of his paintings self-destructed immediately after being sold for a record sum.

An immersive exhibition, an experience

Even if the works exhibited in Naples are reproductions, the route keeps the power of Banksy’s message intact. The curation, signed by Artful Events Collective with the direction of Manu de Ros and the creative contribution of Emre Ezelli, offers an installation that combines traditional techniques and digital innovations, making the experience engaging and immersive.
