HappyCow, a platform dedicated to the vegan community, has published its annual list of most vegan friendly city in the world by 2025. The report is based on different criteriaincluding the number of entirely vegan or vegan-friendly restaurants and businesses.
Other aspects considered are the density of these per square mile and their growth compared to previous years, the ease of access to vegan food, the vitality of the local community and the level of awareness of the population regarding veganism.
London And Berlin they confirm themselves at the top of the rankings for the fourth consecutive year. London stands out for its extraordinary offering of vegan venues, with over 3,600 businesses, of which 54 completely vegan restaurants only in the city center. Berlin, despite a slight decline in the total number of venues, maintains a leading role thanks to 116 completely vegan restaurants and a general increase in vegan-friendly options.
Ho Chi Minh City saw a 33% increase in fully vegan restaurants
Among North American cities, Los Angeles And Portland they establish themselves as reference destinations. Los Angeles still offers a significant number of vegan venues (128 fully vegan restaurants), despite a recent decline. Portland, on the other hand, stands out for its higher density per capita of vegan options, with a total of 631 activities.
In Europe, in addition to Berlin and London, they emerge Lisbon And Barcelona. Lisbon, with a 10% increase in entirely vegan restaurants, is establishing itself as an emerging destination. Barcelona, with a wide variety of options per square mile, continues to attract vegans from around the world.
