Unlocked 193 million euros for the ecological transition of agriculture: how to access the contribution (and from when)

The Ministry of the Environment and Energy Safety (Mase) approved a decree which starts the procedure to access 193 million euros intended for the measure “Ecological practices“Of PNRR. The goal is to encourage the ecological transition of the agricultural sectorfocusing on modern, less polluting and more efficient technologies.

Starting from 12 noon on 27 August and up to 12 noon on 26 Septemberit will be active electronic door through which farms will be able to submit their application to obtain contributions.

The online platform will be available on the website of GSE (Energy Services Manager)which will take care of the entire operational management of the measure.

What does the financing provide for

The funds will be intended for three main lines of intervention. The first concerns the adoption of ecological practices in biogas productionsuch as minimum soil processing techniques and low emissive solutions.

The second provides for incentives for the Replacing the most polluting tractorsfavoring agricultural vehicles powered in Biomethaneequipped with instrumentation for precision agriculture. Finally, a relevant fee will be dedicated to improvement of energy efficiency of biogas production plants, increasing surrender and reducing emissions.

The key role of agriculture in decarbonisation

According to Minister Gilberto Pichetto, agriculture is destined to play a crucial role in the process Decarbonisation of the country. He said:

I trust in a strong participation in the procedure, in the direction of making agriculture more and more protagonist in the path of decarbonisation, with modern solutions that can increase the efficiency and quality of the work.

The intervention represents a IMPORTANT TASS OF THE PNRRwith which Italy aims to achieve European climatic objectives. Support for sustainable practices and the use of renewable sources as the biomethane marks a decisive step towards not only productive agriculture, but also climatically responsible.
