Italian volleyball has no equal: both the men’s and women’s national teams are first in ranking world. The men’s team interrupted the Polish domination which lasted 4 years, the women’s team – we know – has won every competition that can be won (and continues to do so, despite the first stop after 39 consecutive victories inflicted by Brazil in the Nation League).
Our dominance, by the way, is not limited to national teams, our club teams also win everything, leaving very little room for other teams. A truly global success, which gives enormous prestige in our country to this beautiful sport.

378.30 points for the men’s team, which finally surpasses the Polish team after four years, which seemed invincible and which now remains at 374.82. As for the female one, the ranking is really without history: 478.58 against 436.91 of Brazilin second place.
Brazil which however – we must say – recently interrupted the absolute record of victories (39) that our girls achieved by winning all the most important international competitions. A 3:2 in the final Nation League which certainly doesn’t please us but which takes nothing away from the squadron of Julio Velasco, orphan of Monica De Gennaro – the immense Moki- but still stellar.
