A unmissable night is about to arrive: the splendid ones Draconids in fact they will reach their peak around October 8th, and therefore on the night between the 7th and 8th of the month it will not be uncommon to admire some meteoralso given the absence of lunar disturbance. Let’s prepare wishes!
As the UAI explains, this year around October 8th we will have aexcellent opportunity to follow the appearance of the Draconids. The current originates from the comet Zinner Jacobinsand the meteors are bright and persistent.
This year the radiant, or the point from which shooting stars appear to start, will be observable throughout the nightreaching its maximum height above the horizon at nearly 65° after evening twilight.
The night between 7 and 8 October of greatest activity this year will be favorable for observation, especially in the hours preceding dawn and given the absence of lunar disturbance. Our satellite was in fact in the New phase last October 2nd, so now its brightness is still very low (in the map the sky of October 8, 2024 at approximately 5.00 am).
Unmissable appointmentwe are not lacking (with many desires!).
