1522 It’s not just a number. It can turn into an anchor of salvation for women who suffer violence and for which their home turns into a cage or even a deadly trap. And it should be brought back almost everywhere: on the boards of schools and universities, in public offices and in parks.
To turn on a lighthouse on its importance the designer Emanuele Pepe He made a singular wedding dress that takes the name of “1522” and will remain exposed until 19 June in Villa Biagiotti in Florence for the Fashion Beylond Waste event, in the context of Pitti Uomo, one of the best known men’s fashion fairs.
On the white fabric of the dress a series of powerful writings that may seem obvious but – unfortunately – they are not at all: “beating is not loving”, “humiliating it is not to love”, “checking is not to love”.

“The title is 1522, collects the anguish, pain, the need for help of many women who, in their marriage, in what should be the peace of the home walls, instead find the abyss – explains the artist Emanuele Pepe, whose EP5 project is based on creative recycling – I thought how important it was to shake the consciences of all those who will pass in the pavilions of this event”.
