Michele’s dream becomes reality thanks to Pizzaut: the most exciting video you will see today (it will make you change your mind about autism)

It happened on May 1st, the day of the Workers, But it is not a simple coincidence: for Michele, young autistic, it is the day when a dream became reality. After a training period at Pizzaut, The inclusive catering project founded by Nico Acampora, the boy has received the long -awaited news: he will be taken full -time and indeterminate.

His reaction, immortalized in a shared video on Pizzaut’s social networks, is overwhelming and moving. First incredulous, then irrepressible in joy, Michele explodes in a happy dance. An authentic, very powerful moment, which tells much more than a thousand speeches on the dignity of work and inclusion.

Michele now joins Sew Eurodrive, a company that has formally hired him and who will host him for a training period in collaboration with Pizzaut. During this phase, Michele will work on the development of fundamental social and relational skills to better face his working future. At the end of this path it will return to the company, ready for stable and fully integrated employment.

This method of collaboration with companies really makes the difference – explains Nico Acampora – companies invest in autistic staff hiring it indefinitely, while Pizzaut deals with training to prepare them for the new role. It is a virtuous circle.

Mirko Otranto, Chief People Officer of Sew Eurodrive, also underlines the importance of the gesture:

This choice represents for us more than a simple act of social responsibility: it is a concrete manifestation of our commitment to a model of sustainable business, where inclusion, enhancement of diversity and social cohesion are an integral part.

What is pizzaut

Pizzaut is much more than a pizzeria: it is a social project created to offer training, inclusion and work to children in the autistic spectrum. The initiative, conceived by Nico Acampora, gave birth to clubs managed by young autistic with the support of specialized personnel. Their work is not welfare, but a concrete example of inclusive, efficient and high quality catering. Pizzaut has become a symbol of an Italy that changes and where the work is really for everyone. And today, thanks to stories like Michele’s, we are a little closer to the goal.

The date of May 1st, for Pizzaut, is symbolic and very important. Both pizzerias managed by the autistic boys were inaugurated on this day because – as the founder Nico Acampora explained: “Usually May 1st are not talking about autism, because work and autism seem to be distant worlds“And Pizzaut was born precisely to change this narrative.
