At the gates of summer let’s get excited with the shooting stars: are the Ram and the Zeta Perseidperhaps less known, but beautiful, and can give us splendid emotions. The peaks are expected respectively 5 and 6 Junemore visible before dawn.
As the UAI explains, the Ram daytime and Zeta Perseid I am Shames Radarwith peaks respectively on 5 and 6 June, and can manifest Meteors visible to the naked eye just before dawnfar from the moon who approaches the flooding phase (in the maps the Heaven of 5 and 6 June 2025 at about 4.30).
Among other things, as is evident from the maps, the portions of the skies concerned are very close and therefore the shooting stars could also “multiply”, coming from different swarms. Also, with a pinch of luck, we could also see Venus in the same hours.
These are fast shooting stars, often randy the horizon, but not for this impossible to see (preferably far from sources of light pollution). The radiant of Ramthat is, the point from which it seems that the meteors leave, is located in the Aryite constellation from which they take the name; similarly that of Zeta Perseid in the Perseus constellation. But both shamons are actually related to comet 96p/Machholz.
