Do you have a watch with a broken or ruined strap? Don’t throw it away! With a little imagination and some recovery material, you can turn it into an original accessory. Old t-shirts, scarves forgotten at the bottom of the drawer, satin or cotton ribbons, even a piece of jeans: everything can become a DIY strapunique and personalized.
Scarf
Recover an old scarf (small size) and put it in the clock dial after removing the strap. Inseme the scarf on both sides and, finally, close it with a knot.
Striped fabric
You can also replace the broken strap with a stripe strip of striped fabric, made to measure so that it can be inserted in the dial loops.
Old jeans
Why not recover an old pair of jeans and transform them into a stylish strap? You will have to cut two strips, sew the edges and practice the appropriate holes.
On the end without holes, add a buckle to close the strap.
Tapes
Another nice idea consists in making a strap with old recycling ribbons: the satin will make it elegant, the lace will give it a vintage touch, while the cotton ribbons will give a natural and simple appearance. Also in this case, just cut a piece of ribbon and insert it in the anse of the clock.
Old shirt
Well yes, you can make a stylish strap by recycling even an old t-shirt! Cut six strips of the same length and width, then woven to obtain two braids. He puts on the braids in the anse of the clock dial, as explained in the video tutorial by Margiey Akinyi.
