Rite of light: it is about to reopen the Italian pyramid of the 38th parallel (what it represents and where it is)

On the occasion of the summer solstice, the patron Antonio Presti announces the extraordinary opening of the 38th parallel of Motta d’Affermo, the Municipality of the Metropolitan City of Messina. This majestic sculpture, located in the Belvedere district, will be accessible to the public on 21 and 22 June.

What the 38th parallel pyramid represents

The pyramid, 30 meters high, is an imposing work created by the artist Mauro Staccioli. Oriented to the north-west, it is designed in such a way that every day, at sunset, the last rays of the sun can cross it, creating an extraordinary visual show. This sculpture is not only an artistic masterpiece, but also a powerful symbol: the 38th parallel, a line that separates North Korea from South Korea, is transformed from a demarcation line into a connection line, promoting peace and beauty values.

The Fiumara d’Arte: an open -air museum

The pyramid is part of the Fiumara d’Arte, the largest outdoor museum in Europe, conceived by Presti on the ancient bed of the Fiumara di Tusa in the province of Messina. This extraordinary project includes nine works by world -renowned artists and represents a unicum on the international panorama of contemporary art. The initiative has transformed an entire area into an open -air contemporary art center, attracting visitors and enthusiasts from all over the world.

Antonio Presti’s vision

Antonio Presti has dedicated his life to transforming the landscape and communities through art. His works, such as the door of beauty in the Catania district of Librino and the recent butterfly door of 2023, are living testimonies of his commitment. The Presti mission is to create beauty in anonymous and forgotten places, inviting people to rediscover the value of art as a tool of hope and transformation.

Presti says: “Thanking the ingratitude is not an act of surrender, but a powerful tool of liberation. Even in the face of non -recognition, the value of our actions and our art remains unchanged. This perspective helps us to maintain our integrity and continue the path of without discouragement.” His words resonate as a hymn to artistic and human resilience, against a society often too focused on consumption and appearance.

The journey from darkness to light

During the extraordinary opening of the pyramid, visitors will be able to cross a tunnel that will lead them from dark to light. This symbolic path reveals a space conceived as a place of meditation, a temple of thought that celebrates the power of beauty. The light that will penetrate inside the pyramid represents an illumination of consciousness, an antidote against the evil of ignorance.

The 38th parallel pyramid is not only an architectural wonder, but a lighthouse of light and hope, a place where art becomes a transformative experience, capable of touching the heart and soul of anyone who visits it. In these special opening days, the pyramid invites everyone to participate in a journey of reflection and beauty, rediscovering the power of art of connecting and inspired.
