Perfume for the home? I do this natural spray and people ask me where I bought it

How many times have you happened to enter a house and be hit by that enveloping and natural perfume that seems to be part of the environment itself? While many resort to expensive electric speakers or perfumed candles full of chemicals, there is a simple, economic and completely natural alternative.

Why choose a natural perfume for the home

Commercial spray for environments are often full of synthetic substances that can irritate the respiratory tract and create olfactory dependence. On the contrary, a natural homemade perfume offers numerous advantages: it is completely customizable, respects the environment, does not contain toxic substances and often also has aromatherapeutic properties that favor psychophysical well -being.

That ingredients use

The heart of this miraculous spray lies in pure essential oils, extracted directly from plants through natural processes. Each oil brings with it not only a distinctive perfume, but also specific properties that can positively influence the mood and atmosphere of the house.

Lavender, for example, is renowned for its relaxing and purifying qualities. Lemon brings freshness and energy, while the eucalyptus has balsamic properties that purify the air. Citrus fruits like sweet orange create a welcoming and festive atmosphere, perfect for living areas.

The base for the spray

In addition to essential oils, the formulation requires some support ingredients that guarantee the perfect diffusion and duration of the perfume. The distilled water represents the neutral base that does not interfere with natural fragrances. Ethyl food alcohol, on the other hand, acts as a natural solvent for essential oils and helps the rapid evaporation that spreads the perfume in the environment.
A touch of vegetable glycerin can be added to increase the persistence of the perfume, while the white apple cider vinegar, if used in small quantities, can act as a natural preservative and neutralizer of smells.

How to mix the ingredients

The creation of the perfect perfume is an art that requires patience and experimentation. The general rule provides about 30-40 drops of essential oils for every 100ml of total liquid, but the real magic lies in the balance of olfactory notes.
The head notes, like citrus fruits and mint, are those that are perceived immediately but quickly vanish. The heart notes, such as lavender and geranium, constitute the body of the perfume and persist longer. The background notes, such as sandalwood or patchouli, give depth and duration to the fragrance. Each season deserves its special fragrance. In spring, a mixture of lavender, lemon and peppermint brings freshness and vitality. Summer calls more intense perfumes with notes of eucalyptus, tea tree and pink grapefruit. Autumn dresses up of heat with sweet orange, cinnamon and cloves, while the winter embraces with the balsamic notes of Pino Silvestre, fir and a touch of vanilla.

Procedure

The preparation takes a few minutes but a lot of attention to detail. All the ingredients must be mixed in a dark glass container, which protects the essential oils from light. After combining distilled water and alcohol, the drop -to -drop essential oils are added, mixing gently after each addition.
The mixture must rest for at least 24 hours before use, allowing the different fragrances to mix perfectly. During this period, it is advisable to gently shake the container a couple of times to encourage emulsion.

How to keep and use the spray

Once ready, the spray can be kept in the refrigerator to keep the properties of essential oils unaltered, or in a cool and dark place. The average duration is 2-3 months, but this depends on the quality of the ingredients used and the conservation conditions.
For use, simply shake the bottle well before each splash and spray about 30 centimeters away from the surfaces. Few springs are sufficient to perfume an entire room, thanks to the concentrated power of essential oils.

The beauty of this natural approach lies in the infinite possibilities of customization. Each house can have its own unique olfactory signature, created based on the personal tastes and the atmosphere you want to create. In addition, it is possible to adapt the fragrance according to the occasions: more energizing for the morning hours, relaxing for the evening, festive for special occasions.
