Decò supermarkets have announced the recall of one of the most used product in Italian kitchens: the tomato puree. In particular, it is a puree of datterini tomatoes a lot of which has been withdrawn from the market for the possible presence of a foreign body. A measure adopted as a precaution, to protect consumer safety.
Let’s find out all the useful details to recognize the product.
The past recalled, all the details
The passage of datterino subject to the call is sold with the dedicated Granoro brand, in 350 gram glass bottles. The lot concerned is identified with the M214 code, with a minimum storage deadline (TMC) set at 31 December 2026.
The product was made in the Scafati plant, in the province of Salerno, from the Formica Srl company on behalf of the Pastificio A. Mastromauro Granoro Srl, which markets the “dedicated” line, which has always been presented as an expression of 100% Apulian supply chain.
The call was arranged as a precaution due to the presence of a non -specified foreign body, which could compromise product safety.
Although the alert was released by Decò, the product was also on sale at other supermarkets, so the call affects all consumers who may have purchased this pass, regardless of the store.
In any case, the advice remains the same: carefully check the lot on the packaging and, if it corresponds to the M214, do not consume the product, but return it to have a refund or a replacement.
