The more increases the glasses of beer that you drink more increases the risk of contracting these tumors, confirmation in a study

Increase alcohol consumption leads to an increase in the development of different types of cancer. A study with a gigantic cohort conducted in Korea confirms the risk.

In the fight against cancer, the most effective solution seems to prevent – or rather, eliminate risk factors. Among the most problematic ones we can find obesity, smoke and the consumption of alcohol. Other important factors are air pollution, the presence of busy roads in your city, waste management and the like.

Precisely because the risk factors increase with the increase in pollution, we must do everything to limit the damage that our body receives from our daily habits. One of the ways you can reduce the risk of developing a tumor is not increasing your alcohol consumption.

A team of researchers and researchers in South Korea analyzed a cohort of more than 4.5 million inhabitants, with initial analyzes from 2009 to 2011 and with follow-ups up to 7 years later. The results are very clear: those who have increased the consumption of beer and other alcohol have also seen the risk of contracting tumors and dying because of them.

Alcohol increases the chances of contracting all types, but among the most common ones we find tumors to:

The study, however extended, was partly criticized by the National Cancer Institute, one of the most authoritative US government bodies on the subject. The study does not include previous data to 2007, useful for understanding the habits that could have contributed to the development of cancers or not. In the same way, in the period analyzed by the South Korean team, precious information is missing on the other habits of medical cohort: the only data is the raising or lowering of alcohol consumption, but other changes in lifestyle may have influenced the onset of tumors positively or negatively. Finally, the populations of Eastern Asia tendentially have fewer enzymes capable of decomposing alcohol to digest it, therefore the study must also be carried out on other ethnic groups to determine the actual generality.

Nonetheless, the National Cancer Institue commented on the South Korean research team for the extension of the sample analyzed and for the further demonstration that a radical change in lifestyle can have extremely positive effects and increase the average life and the possibility of surviving.

From today on, therefore, you could choose to follow an old popular council and limit yourself to a single glass of beer every 24 hours. There is a study that shows how – even choosing the non -alcoholic one – your intestinal flora could benefit from it, also helping your heart.
