In August we can express really many desires: after the splendid Perseid (but also the Persaid epsilon and the Kappa Cignidi), the night between the 31st of this month and 1 September will shine the The Aurigidi Theta Aurigidi stars. Not to be missed!
As the UAI explains, approaching the end of the month they make their appearance the Theta-Aurigidimeteors that reach their best In the night between August 31 and September 1stwith the radiant, or the point from which it seems that the meteors start, in the constellation of theCharioteer from which they take the name (on the map the Heaven of 1 September at around 1.30).
These falling stars are very fast and, although rather rare (frequently about 6–10 per hour), they can always give us some beautiful and romantic surprise. We take into account that on August 31st our satellite will be in the first quarter, so its disorder will be limited, offering us a greater probability of admiring some “falling” star in the sky.
