The journalist and influencer Piero Arranti, followed by over 650 thousand followers, landed with a rubber boat on a Caprera beach in the archipelago of La Maddalena, transforming the violation into social content. A gesture that, instead of strengthening his image from “Guru of travel”, has twisted against him.
Rosanna Giudice, president of the National Park of the Archipelago of La Maddalena, who wanded the influencer in no uncertain terms, arguing, claiming that those who make disclosure cannot ignore the ABC of navigation. The rules are clear: the boats must maintain a distance of at least 200 meters from the beaches, especially in a protected marine area.
As if that were not enough, Argani published another content, criticizing the “high prices” of local restaurants and comparing the Maddalena in New York. The president, ironic, replied that those who prefer skyscrapers can very well give it to: the sea and the landscape remain the true wealth of the archipelago.

The defense of armies
For his part, the influencer rejected the accusations, declaring himself “victim of a misunderstanding”. In an interview he clarified:
I was not guiding the dinghy, I’m not a skipper or an expert in natural parks. I entrusted myself to a specialized local company, which provided me with the half and skipper. I paid them handsomely, as shown by the receipt of 1300 euros. If there are irregularities, it is not the tourist who had to answer, but the professionals.
He then compared the episode to his business in New York:
When I organize the tours, I provide prepared guides, responsible for the route. I never unload the faults on tourists.

However, the knot is wider. The park extends over a huge surface and is impossible to preside over in every corner. The forces available – Port Authority, Forestry, Carabinieri and Park staff – are not enough to stop the many episodes of incivility: entrances without tickets, bathrooms in prohibited areas, wild moorings on the seabed of Posidonia.
Precisely for this reason, the president judge announced the will to exacerbate sanctions. Today those who violate the rules risk only a few hundred euros of fine, but soon the narrow will be more severe, until the possible temporary revocation of the access authorizations.
The Sardinian skipper who accompanied the influencer, held fully responsible for the irregular maneuver, also in the sight. The Armenian case thus becomes a symbol of a larger battle: that for the protection of a precious ecosystem, threatened by the loveurism and irresponsible behaviors.
