Nurse bonus, new rules since 2026: everything you need to know (from the structures admitted to automatic renewal)

From 2026 the Nido Bonus will change its face with important innovations introduced by the INPS circular n. 123 of September 5, 2025

More structures admitted to the contribution

The benefit will no longer be limited to traditional public and private nursery schools, but will also cover other types of educational services. In fact, the micronids will be able to use the spring sections dedicated to children from 24 to 36 months, the play spaces with flexible frequency and home services recognized by the regions. Instead, the expenses for children and families, recreational activities or services such as pre-school and post-school are excluded, which do not have a direct educational function.

Multi -year validity of questions

As mentioned, one of the most relevant innovations concerns multi -year. From 1 January 2026, an accepted question will no longer have annual duration but will remain valid until the month of August of the year in which the child turns three. Every year the parents will only have to confirm the monthly monthly to be covered (maximum 11) and attach the necessary documentation. For public nests, where payments are often postponed, the registration receipt or insertion in the ranking will be sufficient.

Home contribution and pathologies

The bonus will also remain available as an alternative to enrollment in the nest for families with children with serious chronic pathologies. In these cases it will be sufficient, year by year, to present a pediatric certificate attesting to the impossibility of frequency. A simplification that reduces bureaucracy and ensures continuity to financial support.

Controls and role of the Regions

Since the regulation of early childhood services is regional competence, INPS will verify that the structures indicated are actually authorized. The official lists of regions and local authorities will be used to ensure that public funds only go to recognized educational services. The requests submitted in 2025 will be re -evaluated in the light of the new rules. In practice, some rejected questions may be accepted in self -protection, if they fall within the criteria now enlarged.
