Atac on strike after attacks on staff: these bus and metro lines in Rome at risk on 19 December

In Rome, Atac goes on strike again, but this time only in the morning. A four-hour corporate mobilization is scheduled for Friday 19 December, involving the staff of the C metro line and the Tor Vergata Superficie depot which serves the eastern area of ​​the city.

The trade union organizations Orsa Tpl and Usb Lavoro Privato proclaimed the strike as a response to the attacks against Atac staff. This week alone there were two violent episodes: on Monday December an Atac driver on duty on line 724 was stabbed in the hand by a man, while the following day a metro C worker on duty at Scalo Giardinetti was punched for attempting to block a group of people who wanted to enter through the security door.

Rides not guaranteed

As anticipated, the strike concerns the staff of the C metro line and the staff of the Tor Vergata Superficie depot. From 09.00 to 13.00 the following will not be guaranteed:

Once the strike is over, the service will be reactivated across the entire network. During the 4 hours of mobilization the interchange car parks remain open.
