Day of disruption for users of Italian Post Office. Since around 9am this morning both the site and the app have been down, as also shown by the graph on the Downdetector site, which offers a real-time overview of interruptions affecting various platforms.
Numerous technical problems have been reported in various parts of Italy, in particular from large cities such as Rome and Milan.
When trying to access the Poste Italiane website, some users currently receive a message error 504 (Gateway Timeout).
So far the Post Office has not provided any explanations as to what is happening and the problem appears to be connected to the platform Microsoft’s Azure on which the services are based. It could be a temporary problem already being resolved.
