Kinder launches the One Piece Easter egg: the 3 surprises of 2026 revealed (and everyone is already talking about it)

The Christmas holidays have just ended and the first Easter eggs are already starting to appear on supermarket shelves. Too soon? As always, yes, but this year there is something new that is already making waves, especially among anime and manga enthusiasts but also collectors. We are referring to Kinder which launches a special edition dedicated to One Piece for the first time.

This is the 220 gram Kinder Gran Sorpresa Special Edition, a maxi version of the iconic egg, which brings the universe created by Eiichirō Oda directly to the supermarket aisles.

The surprises

The real gem is not so much the Kinder milk chocolate that we all know, but what is inside: three modular Funko Pop style figures depicting Monkey D. Luffy, Roronoa Zoro and Sanji, three of the most iconic and beloved characters of the Straw Hat Crew.

According to the first information that has emerged, these are not simple single figurines to collect. The characters would be represented on board the Thousand Sunny and designed to be combined with each other, so as to form a small unique diorama to be displayed. A detail that transforms the surprise of this Easter egg into a real collector’s item.

Since it is an egg with a specific specific weight (220 g), it will probably not be possible to know in advance which character will be inside. This element of randomness might make the quest more interesting for some, but also frustrating for those looking to complete the collection. For many fans, finding the egg with their favorite character may require more than one purchase, and the need to exchange any duplicates.

As you may have understood, this chocolate egg will be a real must-have for One Piece fans, as well as collectors of Kinder surprises.

One Piece, between pop culture and commercial strategies

One Piece is a Japanese manga created by Eiichirō Oda in 1997, which over time has become one of the longest-running and most successful in the history of Japanese animation and publishing. The series follows the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy and his pirate crew, the Straw Hat crew, in search of the legendary treasure called “One Piece”, in a world dominated by seas, islands and extraordinary powers.

The collaboration between Kinder and One Piece confirms how anime has now firmly entered the global pop imagination, capable of crossing very different media, generations and contexts. From the manga to the animated series, up to large-scale distribution products, the universe created by Oda continues to expand even outside of paper and screen.

The themed Easter egg is part of a strategy that focuses on collectability and the nostalgia effect, attracting both historical fans and younger consumers. An operation which, as often happens, brings the theme of seasonal consumption and merchandising linked to food products back to the centre.
