Treviso is preparing to become the beating heart of integral ecology and international sustainability. From 18 to 21 March 2026, the Venetian city will host the XVII International Information Forum for the Protection of Nature, promoted by Greenaccord ETS and of which GreenMe is a media partner. With the evocative title Building Future Together – A new humanity thirsty for the future
the event promises to be a crossroads of ideas, dialogues and concrete proposals to face the challenges of our time.
The Forum will not be a simple conference, but a real one widespread global editorial team
capable of attracting over 100 journalists from more than 40 countries. Alongside them, institutional representatives, innovators, academics and leading figures from the world of culture will gather between the evocative walls of Ca’ dei Carraresi and the modern Chamber of Commerce of Treviso and Belluno. The objective is clear: to build a shared vision of integral ecology, a concept that embraces the environment, economy, social dimension and cultural responsibility.
Treviso, capital of integral ecology in 2026
The Forum’s program is divided into an inaugural session and six thematic sessions, dedicated to the crucial issues of the ecological transition. We will discuss clean technologies, the future of mountain territories and the crucial role of the media in narrating environmental challenges. Greenaccord, with its twenty years of experience in training journalists on environmental and social issues, confirms itself as a fundamental player in promoting quality, informed and conscious journalism.
As Alfonso Cauteruccio, president of Greenaccord, points out: In a time marked by conflicts, climate crises and geopolitical uncertainties we need to rebuild a common horizon. Integral ecology is not a slogan, but a vision that brings together the environment, social justice, economy and spirituality. With this Forum we want to offer journalists and institutions a space for authentic dialogue between Europe and America, but also between the West and Asia, between technology and culture. Only by building bridges and taking on shared responsibility can we generate a credible future for new generations
.
A transatlantic bridge for sustainability
The 2026 edition takes on a strategic value thanks to the construction of an ideal bridge between the Triveneto and the State of Colorado. These territories, although geographically distant, share mountain identities, a strong sporting and tourist vocation, dynamic production systems and a growing attention to environmental policies. The comparison between Veneto and Colorado promises to be a precious opportunity to explore topics such as sustainable mobility, territorial planning, the mountain economy and governance of sustainability.
Prominent international speakers from Colorado are expected, including US institutional, business and technological innovators, demonstrating a dialogue that sees the Rocky Mountains and the Dolomites as laboratory territories for transatlantic cooperation. This synergy will strengthen mutual understanding and the identification of common solutions to global challenges.
Major events and environmental impact: the Milan-Cortina 2026 case
A central focus will be dedicated to the sustainability of major international events. In particular, the model of the Milan-Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games will be analysed. Gloria Zavatta, Sustainability & Impact Director of Milan Cortina 2026, will speak in the inaugural session to illustrate the sustainability report of the Games and the strategies adopted to reduce the environmental impact, guaranteeing a positive legacy for the host territories. A crucial theme that GreenMe follows with great attention, offering ideas on how to reconcile the charm of large events with respect for the environment.
A global debate with voices from East and West
The Forum will stand out for its truly global footprint. The presence of Jinfeng Zhou, General Secretary of China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundationwill enrich the comparison with the Chinese experience in the field of biodiversity protection and international environmental cooperation. An open dialogue between European, North American and Asian models will help develop more inclusive and comprehensive strategies for safeguarding our planet.
Technology and culture for the environment: Meta and Spotify on stage
An in-depth analysis on the role of digital platforms and the cultural industry in shaping the environmental debate could not be missing. Prominent figures such as Andy Thompson, International Technologist of Meta, which will hold a lectio magistralis on the impact of environmental news disseminated on social media. He will be joined by Hanna Grahn, Head Sustainability and Climate Action of Spotify, which will explore the potential of music and cultural content as tools of collective awareness and responsibility. These talks will offer a unique perspective on how technology can become a powerful ally in spreading messages of sustainability and climate action.
Integral ecology: a holistic approach for the future
The Forum’s program will embrace a wide range of topics that converge in the idea of integral ecology
. We will talk about the relationship between nature and beauty, wellness economics, urban regeneration, bio-architecture, sustainable agriculture and food supply chains. There will be a look at digital technology as a tool for climate change, and at the concept of ecology of mind and soul
recognizing the profound connection between human well-being and that of the planet.
As reiterated by Giuseppe Milano, General Secretary of Greenaccord: In a world torn apart by violence and arrogance, we feel the need to return to the kindness and conviviality of differences. The new Greenaccord international Forum was not born with the sole ambition of describing contemporary complexity, between extraordinary innovations and virtuous international relations, but also and above all of trying to build together a different vision of society, more just and inclusive, in which social and environmental justice are consolidated in intergenerational and cross-territorial peace and prosperity
.
The Greenaccord Network and the role of environmental journalism
The Forum will not only be a moment of debate, but also an important training opportunity. ODG-accredited courses will be offered for journalists, together with opportunities to meet with local businesses, with the aim of enhancing Treviso and Belluno as a European laboratory of environmental innovation and international cooperation.
The initiative enjoys the patronage of numerous institutions, including the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Safety, the Veneto Region, the Municipality of Treviso, the Diocese of Treviso and the Metropolitan City of Denver. Particularly significant is the support of the Treviso-Belluno Dolomiti Chamber of Commerce, which will host the main sessions and contribute to positioning the territory as hub of sustainability and innovation.
The XVII Greenaccord International Forum is therefore configured as one of the most relevant events of 2026, a moment to combine innovation, responsibility and a shared vision of the future, promoting a new humanism capable of facing ecological and social challenges with awareness and cooperation. An unmissable opportunity for anyone who believes in the power of information and dialogue for a greener and fairer world.
