A quiet sporting outing in the open air turned into an exciting and unusual nature rescue operation. In the Russian province of Perm, along the currents of the Kama River, a mother and her young daughter were spending the afternoon sailing on their SUP boards.
However, the routine of the training session was abruptly interrupted when the two women spotted a bizarre shape desperately struggling in the waves to avoid drowning. As they approached to understand what it was, the sportswomen found themselves faced with the most unexpected passenger: a small lamb exhausted by the water, unable to reach the shore due to the strong currents.

The recovery on board the board and the dynamics of the escape
The mother, identified by local media as Anna, did not hesitate to kneel on the unstable surface of her equipment to hoist the wet animal aboard the paddle surf board. Together with her daughter Anastasia, the woman stabilized the quadruped, which appeared visibly frightened and injured in a leg.
According to the subsequent reconstructions of the local inhabitants, the puppy had just returned from a traumatic event: a stray dog had managed to break into a fence in the area, attacking the flock and killing several animals. Panicked and in an attempt to escape the predator’s fury, the little sheep’s only escape route was to jump into the nearby stream, where it would have drowned without the timely intervention of the two women.

Paddle after paddle, guiding the board with extreme caution so as not to let the injured passenger slip, the two women managed to reach the river bank, finally bringing the young creature to safety on dry land. The entire sequence of the rescue mission was documented in a film that immediately went around the web, triggering a shower of views and comments of admiration on global social platforms for the delicacy and quick reflexes shown by the protagonists. The little lamb, rescued from a certain end first due to dog bites and then due to river hypothermia, was subsequently taken into custody to receive the necessary veterinary care for the injured leg.
