Do you have any rice expired in the pantry? Here are 5 ideas to reuse it in a decidedly creative way

If with the expired barley you can create collages, mandalas, dolls and many other things, even the expired rice conceals multiple creative potential and different alternative uses. Let’s find out one by one.

Collage

Let’s start with collages: you can make them by coloring the expired rice grains, gluing them, once dry, on a cardboard sheet or on a painting canvas. Before starting, track a draft of the drawing you intend to reproduce by deciding the colors to be used, then cover it with the beans.

Animal pillow

You can use rice as a padding for a pillow intended for pets, which will become a comfortable and warm support. Be careful only if you have a dog that nibbles everything!

Vegetable glue

If you have basmati rice expired, we recommend using it to prepare a DIY vegetable glue. Just pour a glass of rice into boiling water, let it simmer for 45 minutes, drain and pass it in the mixer to eliminate any lumps. Pour the glue into a well closed glass jar and keep it in the fridge.

Perfumer for environments

The expired rice can also be used to perfume domestic environments: you can pour it into an open glass container and add a few drops of essential oil. Compound and the perfumer is served.

Rice water

Rice cooking water is often used to give brightness, hydration and strength to hair. In fact, it is believed that the starch present in the rice acts on the hair giving strength, elasticity and nourishment. You can also prepare this precious water with the expired rice, but of course you cannot eat it.
