Petr Spatina, the musician who makes the glasses ‘sing’ arousing unique emotions

It comes from the Czech Republic and is called Petr Spatina, an absolutely unique musician. After years of experience with the accordion and piano, he discovered his true passion: playing the glasses!

Thus made an instrument (which calls glass harp) composed of 33 glasses filled with different quantities of water. The idea came to him after listening to the sound of a glass touched by a finger, a game that many of us have tried as children, but with certainly less amazing results.

Already in the past there was a musical instrument of this type, called Glasspiel (or musical glasses), particularly popular in England and Bohemia. Benjamin Franklin was also inspired by it, the inventor from icing (or harmonious to glasses).

Returning to Petr, the musician over the years has greatly refined his skills so much so that today he manages to range between very different musical genres: from classical music to folk, up to pop.

The international success came after the video shot in 2010 for the Superb Wagon Skoda and through numerous television performances. Today, Petr in addition to participating in numerous events, it also performs for corporate events, commercials and opportunities for great prestige.

At this point we just have to listen to it …
